yetI's

We are the yetI's - This stands for young engagement team Individuals and we are the growing voice of young people in Beccles.  yetI's has a group which meets in a building (see upcoming events).  yetI's includes all the young people's voices that the Detached Youth Workers meet out in the spaces in Beccles.

Some of us also form the Thirst Youth Parliament where we work with the Trustees to give direction about Thirst Youth and what is needed by young people in Beccles - we are working on a 5 year plan so if you want to be involved please join us or give your views to the Youth Workers when they see you.  Some of the ideas are to have a Youth Club open regularly, drop in sessions and different activities like cooking, first aid but we need more help in deciding what is needed.

The yetI's have met with Peter Aldous who is our Member for Parliament (MP).  He met with us and we spoke about food waste, cost of living, Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP) and having needs in education and how students are treated.
